The HEALing Communities Study was highlighted in the latest edition of Social Work Advocates magazine.

This month, SIG was pleased to co-host several talks relating to the overdose epidemic, evidence-based research in humanitarian crises, and social work in a global setting. The complete recorded livestreams for each of these talks is now available.

On December 2nd from 12 - 1 pm, Drs. Bruce R. Schackman and Laura Starbird will explore how measuring the cost of the HEALing Communities Study can help others replicate the model.

On November 18th, Columbia University will host an introductory event to the HEALing Communities Study called "HEALing Communities: Columbia Scientists Tackle the Opioid Crisis in NY State." In advance of this event, Dr. El-Bassel, Director of SIG, appeared on Social Impact Live to further discuss the implications of this massive Study. 

Dr. Robin Kerner, Senior Project Director for HEALing Communities, presented as part of the "Implications for policymakers public health advocates & governments" panel at the Association of Foreign Correspondents of the USA event. 

University Professor and SIG Director Nabila El-Bassel will appear on Social Impact LIVE October 23rd to discuss her most ambitious research project to date: the HEALing Communities Study.
