There has been plenty of discussion around vaccine distribution, but not how to reach the most marginalized people in our society. As a researcher who founded a center to address the HIV/AIDS pandemic 30 years ago, Dr. El-Bassel has worked extensively with vulnerable individuals including people who use drugs and/or have unstable housing, and knows how to reach them.
Her latest Op-Ed, published in the New York Daily News, shares three recommendations to ensure these key individuals are not left behind.
