Columbia University President Bollinger has just approved Dr. Gilbert's tenure.

Congratulations to Dr. Louisa Gilbert, co-Director of the Social Intervention Group (SIG) and the Global Health Research Center of Central Asia (GHRCCA): Columbia University President Bollinger has just approved her tenure.

Of her achievement, Dr. Gilbert said:

I am very lucky to have had the wonderful support, friendship and inspiration working with everyone at SIG that has made this journey to tenure worthwhile for me. You all are so much of the reason that makes we want to come to work each day.

The team could not agree more. SIG Director Dr. Nabila El-Bassel says,

Louisa has made a significant contribution to SIG and to the field of HIV, substance use, family violence and to social work and much more. She is a true leader, a wonderful colleague and human being. She has been leading SIG with integrity, innovation, and collegiality. Congratulations Louisa.
