Congratulations 2020 graduates!

Congratulations to the following SIG MSW student interns who graduated this year!

  • Yifan Liu
  • Emily Natasha Voorhees

The students advanced SIG's mission through work with the HEALing Communities Study (HCS), EWORTH, and the new UNICEF project to build Social Work in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Their work included an initial landscape analysis to inform HCS researchers and identify potential resources and barriers to adoption, as well as capture prevention, treatment, and recovery support services within healthcare, behavioral health, criminal justice settings. The students helped conduct a secondary analysis by conducting follow-up interviews about community assets and services.

I sincerely appreciated this opportunity to spend my second year with all these talented and caring professionals at the Social Intervention Group. Thank you for everything!

Yifan Liu

The students also conducted qualitative data collection and analysis for both HCS and EWORTH, developed manuscripts for several projects, and provided curriculumn development and technical support for the UNICEF project.

Below, SIG staff celebrate with the grads, on Zoom as is appropriate for these times.

I am grateful for this rare opportunity to work closely with students, scholars and professionals working in prevention research and implementation science.
