Achieving Equal Opportunity, Equity, and Justice

Members of the Columbia University School of Social Work, the Social Intervention Group, and the ASPIRE project will be leading a symposium at the 22nd annual Society for Social Work and Research conference on Friday, January 12th.

The conference, hosted from January 10 – 14th, explores the theme Achieving Equal Opportunity, Equity and Justice.

Members of ASPIRE including Dr. Lynn Michalopoulos will lead the discussion, which will include Dr. Louisa Gilbert, Angela Aifah, and Melissa Meinhart, in a symposium entitled "Multi-Level Risk Factors Related to the Health and Mental Health of Migrant Populations from Non-Western Low and Middle Income Countries."
