Bio

Ferg Hendry is a masters student at the Columbia School of Social Work and Fulbright scholar from London, England. Ferg is currently doing his placement at the Social Intervention Group. For the past ten years he has worked in the UK with unaccompanied minors, youth involved with the criminal legal system, and child-protection cases. In between these jobs he worked as a plumber and laborer in the construction industry. He is interested in how incarceration, drug use, migration, and systemic violence affect youth in the USA, and what lessons can be learned and applied in the UK context. 

Ferg received his BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
