Bio

Erin Kim is a Senior Research Coordinator for the HEALing Communities Study (HCS) at Columbia University's School of Social Work, Social Intervention Group. With a profound dedication to serving underserved and underrepresented populations, Ms. Kim has a rich background in assisting families and children affected by the child welfare system as well experience with federal programs such as Medicaid and SNAP.

Ms. Kim’s research interests center around interdisciplinary evidence-based approaches to substance use and overdose prevention. She is deeply committed to community-based work, emphasizing collaboration to enhance access and equity for all community members.

Ms. Kim earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University (2021), following a BA in Media and Communication Studies with a minor in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America (2017). Her academic background and professional experiences underscore her commitment to improving social outcomes through rigorous research and community engagement.
