Bio
Chris Ramirez is a second-year Master of Social Work student at Columbia University specializing in Leadership, Management, and Entrepreneurship for Social Justice. He has had the opportunity to work with children, youth, and families in diverse environments, which continues to shape his commitment to advancing equitable social welfare. At Columbia University Irving Medical Center, he serves as a research assistant with the COMBO National Study, focusing on caregiver-child wellbeing and early relational health.
His research interests include international social welfare, social protection systems, and resilience in children, youth, and families in under-resourced communities. Chris looks forward to contributing to the work of the Center for Advancing Community Strengths and Social Wellbeing (Uzbekistan Center) by collaborating with colleagues in Uzbekistan and supporting the Center’s initiatives through the Social Intervention Group.
