After Roe V Wade was overturned, how can social workers, students, researchers, public health specialists, and communities striving to achieve health and equity ensure reproductive rights are maintained?

From the CSSW website:

As the country reels from the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade, it is vital that social workers be engaged in efforts to protect this fundamental human right. This panel will not only share perspectives of social workers fighting in the name of reproductive justice, but in advance of the upcoming election invites the audience to join them in a call to action.

The call: Protecting the right to abortion for those populations most directly negatively impacted by the Court's decision - namely Black and BIPOC birthing people.

Join us for a panel discussion between Sasha Ahuja, National Director, Strategic Partnerships, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and Zakiya Thomas, President and CEO ERA Coalition/Fund for Women's Equality, moderated by Anindita Dasgupta, Associate Research Scientist at the Social Intervention Group within the School of Social Work.
