Ziyoda Isaeva

Ziyoda Isaeva has been working in the field of social work and child protection since 2021 with a focus on strengthening families, supporting vulnerable children and communities, and promoting access to social and psychosocial services. Her professional experience combines direct service provision, case management, advocacy, community outreach, and capacity building within social protection and health-related programs.

From 2021 to 2022, Ziyoda volunteered as a Social Worker at the Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children within the UNICEF-supported project “Protection of Children Affected by Migration in Southeast, South and Central Asia.” In this role, she participated in conducting assessments with repatriated families, interviewing children to identify developmental and psychosocial needs, supporting referral processes, and contributing to data collection and documentation activities. 

From 2022 to 2023, she worked as a Social Worker at NGO RIEC INTILISH within USAID-funded projects focused on tuberculosis prevention and treatment adherence among vulnerable populations in Tashkent region. Her work included providing case management and psychosocial support to migrants diagnosed with tuberculosis, people released from detention, and individuals with substance dependency, as well as conducting educational seminars and strengthening cooperation with service providers and healthcare professionals. 

Since February 2024, she has been working as a Social Worker at SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan in the Family Strengthening Service, where she provided assessment, counseling, and long-term family support services to prevent child abandonment and ensure child well-being.

Since September 2025, Ziyoda has been working as the Leading Specialist in Social Work Practice at the Center for Advancing Community Strengths and Social Wellbeing. In this role, she contributes to the advancement of social work practice, activities aimed at strengthening the quality and accessibility of social services and supporting system-level reforms to improve the quality of social services and child protection in Uzbekistan.

Her professional responsibilities include case management, developing intervention plans for children and families, crisis intervention, facilitation of group activities and trainings, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. With strong skills in communication, cultural awareness, advocacy, and community engagement, Ziyoda contributes to efforts aimed at strengthening social work practice and improving child and family well-being in Uzbekistan.
