Shokhida Allabergenova has been working in the field of social work and child protection since 2013 with a focus on strengthening families, supporting children without parental care, and promoting social adaptation and reintegration. Her professional experience combines direct service provision, case management, advocacy, and capacity building for social service professionals.
For five years, she worked as a Social Worker in the Family Strengthening Service at the Khorezm branch of SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan, where she provided assessment, counseling, and long-term family support services to prevent child abandonment and ensure child well-being. From 2019, she served as a Specialist at the National Centre for Social Adaptation of Children, contributing to the development and implementation of programs addressing the needs of children without parental care and strengthening community-based Since December 2024, Shokhida has been working as the Chief Specialist in Social Work Practice and Community Engagement at the Center for Community Strengthening and Social Wellbeing. In this role, she focuses on advancing social work practice, mobilizing community resources, and supporting system-level reforms to improve the quality of social services and child protection in Uzbekistan.
Her professional responsibilities include case management, developing intervention plans for children and families, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. With strong expertise in advocacy, cultural awareness, and group facilitation, Shokhida supports efforts to reform the child protection system and strengthen the social service workforce.
