Sardor Musaev is a contracts and international relations specialist with extensive experience in law, governance, and social protection reform. Since June 2024, he has been serving as Director of the Uzbekistan–Columbia University Center for Advancing Community Strengths and Social Wellbeing, a partnership focused on strengthening social services and community resilience.
From July 2023 to June 2024, Mr. Musaev was Deputy Head of Department at the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he contributed to advancing social policy, institutional development, and international cooperation. Prior to this, he served as Head of the Department for Constitutional Construction and Public Administration at the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of Uzbekistan (February–July 2023).
Earlier in his career, Mr. Musaev worked internationally, including as a Legal Analyst at the International Bar Association (Washington, DC, 2022) and as a Local Consultant with the World Bank (2020–2021). He also held senior government positions in Uzbekistan, including Chief Specialist in the Cabinet of Ministers (2018–2020), Customs Officer in the State Customs Committee (2015–2018), Lecturer at Tashkent State University of Law (2014–2015), and Leading Lawyer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (2012–2014).
