Multimedia WORTH

WORTH (Women on the Road to Health) was identified as meeting the criteria for best evidence of efficacy by the HIV/AIDS Prevention Research Synthesis (PRS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). WORTH was  highlighted as an evidence-based intervention for researchers, policy decision makers, and prevention providers.

WORTH is a group-level intervention that can be delivered through multimedia or traditional paper-based methods for drug- and justice-involved women under community supervision. Its primary goal is to reduce sexual and drug risk behaviors, increase condom use, reduce intimate partner violence, and link women to HIV care, drug treatment programs and safety.

The Multimedia WORTH intervention is ideal for community-based organizations, substance use treatment providers, community corrections, and organizations focusing on family planning.
