Ilkhom Juraev

Ilkhom Juraev has over five years of experience in community engagement and social development, focusing on strengthening public participation, improving social protection programs, and ensuring that vulnerable groups are actively involved in decision-making. His work combines practical, on-the-ground mobilization with capacity building for local institutions, NGOs, and government bodies.

From 2023 to 2025, Ilkhom held the position of Social Mobilization and Social Specialist at the PMU of the Women’s Committee in the “Enhancing Economic Opportunities for Rural Women” project, where he participated in implementation of Environmental and Social Standards (ESSs), Stakeholder Engagement Plans (SEPs), Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRMs), and coordinated with NGOs and local authorities to improve gender sensitivity and community inclusion.

Between 2020 and 2023, he worked as a Facilitator for the Rural Infrastructure Development Project under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, leading participatory village planning, establishing Mahalla Development Units (MDUs), and ensuring that development initiatives were promoted poverty reduction and gender eguality. Earlier, Ilkhom worked with the International Labour Organization on projects addressing decent work, social safeguards, and prevention of forced and child labor. 

Since joining the Center for Advancing Community Strength and Social Wellbeing in 2025 as Leading Community Engagement Specialist, Ilkhom has coordinated activities to promote active public participation, supported the development of social service programs, and assisted to identify the needs of community groups.
