Bio
Yongyan is currently a master's student at the Columbia University School of Social Work. He is currently working with Dr. Nishita Dsouza on the MOCJ Evaluation, assessing the effectiveness of Section 8 housing vouchers using the Social Determinants Toolkit and the Livability Measure.
Before coming to Columbia, he earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at University of California, Davis. He has also worked as a counseling intern, supporting student mental health services. Having placed in Harlem for the first year of practicum, he is particularly interested in exploring the relationship between housing stability and health outcomes, and addressing inequities in access to essential resources within underserved communities.
