Bio
Xiaotong is a master’s student at the Columbia School of Social Work with a concentration in Integrated Practice and Programming. Her research interests focus on HIV/STI prevention and intervention, sexual and reproductive health, and community engagement, with a particular interest in the impact of substance use and addiction on marginalized populations, especially MSM and transgender individuals. Xiaotong is passionate about using crowdsourcing and crowdfunding in non-profit organizations to improve community engagement and involvement in health research.
Xiaotong is also the founder of several queer community organizations in China, which aim to provide safe spaces for queer individuals and connect them with essential healthcare resources. Xiaotong holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
