Bio

Shoshana Benjamin is the Project Administrator for the HEALing Communities Study at the Social Intervention Group.

She earned her MPH in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health in 2021 and her BA in Biology from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2017. Shoshana first came to SIG as a part-time research assistant.

Prior to SIG, Shoshana held a number of roles, including in health communications at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and as a gender and sexuality educator for middle-schoolers. In these roles she focused on effectively presenting information in an approachable and interesting way. Shoshana also writes blog posts about sexual health for a reproductive and sexual health website.
